Wardrobe shelf

I have 2 wardrobes with 1 shelf in them and both have collapsed due to too much hanging on them. They just sit on a ledge and at one end has come off the wall. Which only has pieces of wire holding them in place. So want something more solid that would hold shelf on wall and take more weight. Have a third wardrobe which is ok but would like this to be done too before samething happens lIke 1 & 2. I would try and tempt myself but I worry that I might screw into wires. So will leave it for the professionals. Let me know what options you have to fix this
