Inspect a house & give me a rough idea of the cost of stuff I want to do to it

Thanks for all the offers - have chosen a tradie. We've found a house we want to buy. I'd like to take a builder with me to an inspection. I don't want a full written building report - I want you to point out defects if you spot them and give me a rough idea of severity. I want to use your expert knowledge to identify either huge potential cost/not worth the $ through to easy to fix/not a problem. It is not a binding contract and I realise you can't see through walls but have a better more knowledgeable eye than me. If we do buy it - I want to do as much work as my budget (and husband) will allow. I want you to give me a rough idea of what will be possible & what wont. Can I take out that wall? is it structural? will I have to sell one of my kids to fund the council consents required? How much would it cost (ball park, I wont hold you to it) if I did do it? I estimate that I'll only need an hour of your time - sadly it is most likely to be a weekend.
