Hi there!... We need a place for mum to live (she lives with us at the mo!) so we're thinking either a) raise the house and build in underneath or b) build out the back of the garage... i need to know which would be most viable financially. The house would only need to be raised maybe 4ft higher than it is and then we need quotes for the blocking/framing up underneath (i want it to at least a sealed shell stage (concrete pad/outer walls etc) - we can probably do the interior ourselves or as we can afford things)... im not sure whether completely blocking the base or framing/blocking is the best way to go - any input welcome. If it appears that raising the house will be too pricy then i'll look at building a studio or something out the back. Any info/pricing on the developing of underneath the house would be great! (sorry i dont know anything about these things so there's not much detail!)... oops.. the house is roughly 125m2 (measured by me so give or take!)... thanks... Sarah
