Deck to be cut away from Wall

Cut back Area of deck is currently fixed to external wall of house (approx 3 metre length, by 1 plank wide. Its been like this for years (15 approx). Never had any issues until recent heavy rain where water has found its way into the room behind this wall. I suspect the waterproofing has failed or damp course is allowing water the wrong side so rather than channeling it away its sending into the room ! need to investigate and fix whats wrong. Really need to initial work done asap as there's more rain on the way
