I have a requirement to cut a door into an internal wall. To my knowledge the wall is not load bearing or made from materials that need a resource consent. The project in essence is about adding a door to an internal wall in a bedroom to my second small kitchen. On the kitchen side of the wall there is a existing shelving in place that will need to be taken out. I have 2 primary asks - First - I need a structural engineering service to confirm that area of the internal wall where I want to create a door is not load bearing, etc. so no resource consent is need Second - I need the actual work to be done and need to know the budget and time estimate to achieve this change. Please advise if you want to come and have a look before you can provide an exact quote. Any high level idea about a quote would be really appreciated. I have attached the photo of the kitchen side of the wall, will provide few more photos soon including one for the bedroom side of wall but that's a normal wall. Thanks.
