Reinstating door way , and installing a pocket door.

1950s home - At some point the doorway between the lounge dining room was widened. We are looking to re-instating a doorway, by reducing the opening and installing a pocket door. We are also looking to do some work to our kitchen and would be interested to understand if a wall we wish to remove, is retaining and needing a building consent. We would also be interested in a quote to remove the wall, and to do some finishing. Thanks
