Water Leak in bedroom next to bathroom

I have a minor water leak in bedroom next to bathroom. Carpet is wet by skirting boards on the wall adjacent to a shower over a bath. I need the leak investigated before new carpet is laid in next 2 weeks. Plus I have new shower slider & mixer to install in same bathroom. Also have a couple of tap washers that need replacing. Thanks
