Formsteel carport installation

Job description

Garages & Carports
Woolston, Christchurch

Published on 31 May 2016

I need to have a Formsteel Classic single carport erected. I have the instructions in pdf format, which I can email. I expect the carport to be fully installed according to the instructions and plan, unless agreed prior. For example, I could apply the Blackseal membrane to the legs. The carport is to be erected over a concrete slab, which is just wide enough to be straddled by the 300 mm diameter carport post foundations. The fence rail seen in the picture is 350 mm from the slab, so there is room, however things could be a little tight whilst digging. The carport will overhang the shed slightly. This works with assembling the carport, the only difficulty I can foresee is riveting the top of the fascia gutter, which might need to be done from on top of the shed. The carport needs to be installed at a non-standard height. This either means the foundation holes would need to be deeper than the 900 mm required (around 1000-1100 mm), or the ends cut off. We would need to agree how to treat the ends. I will be clearing the site, including removing the pebbles where they are in the way. The kitset will either be delivered to site, or it could be picked up from Bunnings Riccarton. Delivery is about three weeks from order, so the job should be ready to go around the start of July. Any questions, just ask.

This is the second time I've used TC Groundworks, and I'd definitely use them again. They went the extra mile and did a quality, professional job. (Note: I revised the scope of this job to just the erection of the carport posts prior to requesting a quote.)
