There is a bulge developing in a retaining wall under a deck and plaster-walls around the deck. Clay has pressed against the front and the uprights have moved about an inch. We have some idea of what needs to be done but need expert advice on the reason the clay is moving too. Since posting this job, EQC has inspected and has indicated that it is a bigger job than we expected and that EQC will provide funding. Awaiting the signal to reactivate. Photos can be provided. Restricted access. EQC has examined the issue and have costed it out to be a significantly bigger issue than first thought. I am to find the people to do the job. Still waiting for the EQC assessor to inspect the situation as the neighbor also has earth movement issues. (9 March) EQC has inspected and is sending an engineer. All is on hold, meantime. 29 March 2011.
