We have a carport on the side of our house. We would like to convert it into a garage by adding paneling to one side, a garage door at one end and wall with window at the other end. We would also like to create internal access by knocking through the current side wall, insert a door leading into the hallway. The hallway will need to be adjusted by removing the built in wardrobe from one of the bedrooms. Opposite that bedroom is a storage area which we would like to convert into another bedroom. This would require removal of the laundry cupboard and move laundry into the garage, extend the wall slightly and add a door. The floor will also need to be raised slightly to align with the height of the rest of the hallway. We have already had a draughtsperson in who has drawn up the plans.
