I would like the current brown painted concrete blocks rendered to get rid of the block look and prepped for painting. The current white handrails will be removed and glass balustrade put in place. I understand that rendering straight over painted blocks is not great and water runoff from the steps means cladding is not a good option. Please explain the process/system you will use and any constraints I'd have being able to drill through it to the block to attach handrails, etc. Also any references for other jobs like this would be appreciated. I'm also intending to get some slate / tiles laid over the top of the concrete steps so if you let me know how your work would tie in with that. Thanks!
