The property has two buildings on it which were built in the early 1950s. I am going to keep the smaller building on the southern side and demolish the main house. Once that is done then will build new house at rear of the section (Western boundary) I am nearly 100% sure the cladding is asbestos so needs to be removed before I demolish the building. The alternate is to move the building but it is two storey on concrete/timber so not sure which is the most cost effective process. We have nearly completed the working drawings for the new house. These will be submitted to WBOPDC next month so there is no rush. I am yet to identify a builder. I am aware I have to have a Asbestos removal plan and have obtained quotes raning from $388 + GST for report plus $99 +GST for each sample to $899 + GST for report plus $100 +GST for each sample.
