Full House Rennovation

We are doing a basement conversion, reorganizing the floor plan and building new exterior decks and retaining walls. We need plans drawn up for the project and to get consent so we can get started as soon as possible as we have already been mucked around by one bad draftsman for a year now. The basement area is partially excavated and will be approximately 50m2 encompassing kitchen, dining and living area. The upper level will involve establishment of two new bathrooms, master bedroom and laundry and disestablishment of the existing kitchen and bathroom. I have existing floor plans and some concept drawings done by the first draftsman as well as the original concept drawings I did myself.

There were continued delays in delivery of the work. Communication got progressively worse as time drew on. We had hoped to start the project mid summer and instead ended up with no walls or windows in the middle of winter, so not a great result. The final plans that went to council were missing some detail or had extra detail that was contrary to what we had asked for. We probably should have picked up on this but there was so much back and forth it was hard to keep track of what had been fixed
