Removal of trees and re-planting

I have a section of the garden along fence line between my property and neighbours property with 3 dead trees (one is a puka tree, not sure of the others). I would like them all removed and then suggestions of what to re-plant and then the re-planting. The re-planted trees would need to be able to get reasonable height as the deck is raised and they are to be used as privacy screening between myself and the neighbour. Open to suggestions. See pics. Potential other landscaping/gardening work in future.
