Repair insinkerator/ waste disposal unit

Motor runs but blades not moving, button at bottom may be stuck. I didn't get a quote for this job as the 'plumber' did the job on the pretext of gaining a quote, and then is charging an extreme amount. It all happened in 5 -10 minutes from start of job to driving away. Really dissapointed. If you would like to tell me how much you'd charge to unclip a waste disposer, wash it out at my back tap and clip it back under the bench I would be interested to know, as I am not prepared to pay what this man is asking at this stage. I just want to be fair and be treated the same way.
