Smeg Gas oven, model number NZ634GSS The oven thermostat does not seem to work. At the lowest possible setting the oven temperature continues to rise. May I have a price to replace or perhaps repair. Thanks, Jeremy

I regret having to give Hi-Tech Appliances a POOR rating for this job. They responded to my gas oven repair ad, arrived on time, checked but did not correctly diagnose or repair the problem. Charged for the visit and undertook to price and fit a part but later told me the part was unavailable. When I gave them a nz supplier with the part in stock they made new excuses. Eventually I determined that they don't repair gas ovens. Other than knowing and not saying before he departed he was never coming back, the repair guy R.J was a very pleasant man.

"The technician noticed that the GAS oven was dismentled and fiddled with by the customer himself. Hence we do not take responsibility of appliances such as GAS ovens as it is a hazard if the customer tries to fix things themself. Hence we didnot proceed further with it. We only charged call fee and min $10/- which was applicable. Thank You."
