Cameron was recommended by a fencing supplier as their preferred installer in Wellington. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

Communication was poor from the outset, with calls and emails often going unanswered for days. After giving him the benefit of the doubt, I paid a 50% deposit. He attended site for one day, and we agreed he would return the following week. Instead, there were repeated delays and excuses, including staff shortages, staff illness, and later that he had been admitted to hospital.

Eventually, Cameron suggested that I find another builder and assured me he would refund the unused portion of my deposit. I did exactly that, and the project has since been completed by another builder.

Despite this, more than two months have passed and I have still not received the agreed refund. I have sent formal demand letters and have now lodged a claim with the Disputes Tribunal to recover the outstanding amount.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this contractor. If there were an option to leave zero stars, I would have chosen that instead.
