This project was to refresh an ensuite.
The existing shower had likely been leaking for a number of years, so we had to replace a section of studs and bottom plate, as well as the gib in the adjacent room.
We changed the window for a new horizontal one, as this worked better in the space and allowed for a larger shower area. This required the installation of a larger lintel and replacement of some of the cladding.
We cut out the concrete floor to reform it to provide fall in the shower.
The works were approved under a consent exemption and supervised by an LBP builder. This is a much more cost efficient way to legally carry out restricted works. We work closely with the council on many projects and have carried out a wide range of projects under exemption.
