Project description

Adapt Construction was approached and engaged by Main contractor,Brian Perry Civil to facilitate the specialist piling operation in the Kaitoke Ranges. The Adapt team consisted of four key personnel - A Piling Supervisor, Piling rig operator, leading hand and skilled groundsman.
The works involved the drilling and placing of 6 no. 600dia bridge piles,which will service the main water supply for Wellington water. Each pile consisting of a drill depth of 10.0m+/- into 300mpa greywacke rock.With the job being executed from a temporary staging platform and machinery only able to access by crane lift,
Adapts TesCar CF3 fixed mast rig was the perfect fit for the job, weighing only a few 100kg under the cranes max capacity at the 50m radius.
The Job being more of a marathon rather than a sprint, the Adapt team displayed perseverance, patience, focus and determination.A big Ngā Mihi to the Brian Perry Civil team and everyone involved!
