Project description
Construction of a Permacrib retaining wall in Akaroa to provide long-term slope stabilisation and create usable outdoor space on a challenging hillside site. The project involved site excavation, foundation preparation, drainage installation, and the construction of a timber Permacrib retaining structure designed to suit the steep terrain while complementing the natural surroundings.
Working within the constraints of the sloping section and coastal environment, careful planning and execution were required to ensure structural integrity, effective water management, and minimal site disturbance. The completed retaining wall provides a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution that enhances both the stability and functionality of the property.
