Jonell accepted the job. However, things came terribly unstuck as he waterblasted the deck, and without sanding, applied the stain, using up twice as much as expected due to applying with a mop. Waterblasting did not remove all the previous surface, attempted to fix the patchwork by "patch sanding", using my belt sander and breaking it. He bailed on this as "Can't wear a mask" and sanding had made him unwell. I ended up hiring a floor sander and doing it myself. Unfortunately I'd paid 50%.
