Going by all the other positive reviews I must be the exception, but being quoted half the price of a new washing machine to fix a door that is not closing is just ridiculous. They told me that our Panasonic door latch not closing properly was something they could deal with, and advised their charge rates and that they carry many parts on board for typical fixes. It turned out that that issue was not the metal lock, but a broken piece of plastic in the door itself and that we needed a whole new door …. but they couldn’t get the actual part because the machine was obsolete (9 years old), so had to use another door that would work. This is apparently a common issue with Panasonic doors and something SB Appliances should have known and at least advised us could have been a non cost effective fix before they took the business. What that means is that they are either just generally skilled in washing machine repairs but you have to pay the call out fee to find out what it’s going to cost to fix, and/or they prefer to keep quiet to ensure they get some business from you. If I wanted someone who hasn’t got a clue what the problem might be until they take it all apart, and doesn’t carry the parts required for typical problems, I would have done it myself. Additionally, we service a wide range of brands, not just Panasonic, and unfortunately, we can’t stock every part for every appliance. It’s also worth noting that it's quite rare for us to encounter an exact match of appliance, model, and serial number, so we do our best to find suitable alternatives when necessary. Had Amar come out and look at my fridge that was not functioning as it should. Super professional and knowledgeable. Was able to assess the problem and easily explain the cause.
