We are fully registered appliance technicians in New Zealand, operating in both Auckland and Christchurch. We specialise in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of whiteware appliances, including washing machines, dryers, fridges, ovens, cooktops, waste disposals, dish drawers, and rangehoods.

Our Auckland and Christchurch call-out fees range from $110 to $150 depending on location, which includes the first 10 minutes of labour and diagnosis. We prioritise professionalism on every job and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, in compliance with AS/NZS 3000 regulations.

There seems to be a lack of commitment to the customers. Me and my partner had called sb appliance for our washing machine and they sent a technician to our apartment to take a look into our washing machine and dryer. The technician said it was a motherboard issue and that he will order the parts later on that day. It’s been 2 weeks since then and we did 3 follow up calls in regards to the parts and how far along they are. On our 3rd call they said that the parts were never logged or ordered. It feels like we were pushed to side and forgotten. They said they were gonna do many follow up calls regarding the parts and deliver, and not a single follow up call happened. The first two calls said that there will just be a waiting time for the parts, as they never checked whether the parts were on the way or not. Will never recommend this place and won’t bother with this company again.

I would not recommend SB Appliance’s services. Their call-out fee is quite expensive, so I expected a professional and attentive service experience. However, while the technician was diagnosing the issue with my appliance, he spent around 10–15 minutes on a phone call speaking in another language. As a customer, I had no way of knowing whether the conversation was unrelated to my job or whether he was seeking assistance to diagnose the problem. Either way, it did not give me confidence in the service I was paying for. Given the premium price charged, I expected the technician’s full attention and a higher standard of professionalism. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet those expectations.

The technician worked quickly at my house and kept me informed of the process and work needed to fix my washing machine. The costs were explained clearly and were good value overall.
