Versatile Design is a boutique architectural design practice that provides comprehensive architectural services from concept design to building consent and construction. Beginning with an initial free consultation, your sketched designs will be developed by exploring various alternatives and options to complete your project, regardless of its size or complexity.
All projects are managed and directed by a New Zealand qualified architectural designer with 20 years of experience in new residential builds, renovations, additions, alterations, decks, commercial projects, remediation, and more.
Versatile Design specializes in bungalow and villa conversions, as well as obtaining the necessary building consents and resource consents for these specific homes. The firm also undertakes many basement and garage renovations for extended family living.

New Build Replacing Existing Bungalow
As soon as the client discovered that renovating their existing Bungalow was going to be more timely, costly and difficult the agreement soon after consulting with Versatile Design was to remove the bungalow and build new. Currently still completing construction, the Concept to Building Consent approval went very smooth. Photos will be added through construction.
Carport Conversion
Builderscrack Brief; Looking to convert carport into bedroom with ensuite, put in a porch and front door area, possibly knock out wall between two existing bedrooms to make one room in Howick Documentation completed for impending Building Consent lodgement.
Reclad, Reroof, Renovations
Existing plasterboard replaced with new Vertical cedar weatherboards on a cavity system. Existing membrane roof with internal gutters replaced with new torched on roofing with external guttering. Complete renovation of Bathrooms and Kitchen
Addition & Alterations
Successfully completed approved building consent documentation from provided resource consent documentation for the Renovation project in St Heliers.
Brand new Villa replica
To create an early 1900s Villa modern replica. All the exterior fretwork and trims of the yesteryear classical villa with the much required technology and gadgets of today all rolled into a magnificent home.
