Bottom floor leak

At ground level on the bottom floor of our house some moisture is coming in. This started about 3 months ago and I have tried several things to fix it but nothing has worked, and the issue is possibly accelerating. I believe it is related to some adjoining excavation under the house that has become waterlogged over time, as it is quite wet at the bottom of the excavated area (which is below the top of the foundation). The solution may be some additional drainage and/or further excavation to find where the water is getting in.
