Repair and waterproofing of windows
Job description
When previous owners of our house added a lower story with a bedroom and bathroom they saw fit not to include any flashing on the exterior windows. As such, over time moisture has made its way into the frame and damaged the scribers and the interior window sills. We want to repair what has been damaged (replace the scribers and possibly the window sills) and prevent any further damage occurring (add flashings above the windows). If this can be retrofitted without replacing the windows then great, but we are prepared to discuss the options if it isn't feasible to fix in place. The two bedroom windows are around 1100 x 1350 and the bathroom window is around 700 x 1350. The windows are aluminium joinery Photos show the interior and exterior view of the windows and damage to the scribers and the lack of flashing.

Edgar and his team at C&L Builders did a great job and the windows look awesome and have already made a real difference. No hidden or unexpected costs, everything was done as quoted for the agreed price with no hassle. The schedule was very slightly delayed, but by circumstances completely outside of Edgar's control - waiting on glass supplier who had big backlog. Communication by Edgar was great, friendly and professional. Overall we are very satisfied with the work completed.
