Waterproof bedroom ceiling / possible leak from above deck

My granddaughter’s downstairs bedroom ceiling started dripping last night after a brief thunderstorm... the drainage pipe from the little deck above her bedroom was blocked. I unblocked it by poking the drain with a stick but her ceiling is wet and dripping and filled a bucket with a few centimetres of water. Her ceiling will probably need to be replaced and painted.
