Scoria back fill and moisture barrier

Our property is insulated (stapled batts between the joists) but no moisture barrier. Our house is approx 150 sqm 100 sqm is gradually slopped from around 0.75 meters to 1.8 meters, concrete piles in the ground with timber, The rest has been dug out for storage with some trenching, I’d ideally like the trenching back filled with scoria (approx. 4m3) then all covered with a moisture barrier. You can get the scoria dumped about 10 meters from the back of the property but no room for any equipment
