Waterproofing around Bi-fold doors

We need assistance with an issue of water ingress around bi-fold doors. Only happens in extreme weather. A couple of door experts reckon it's more of a builders issue; and could be down to how the doors were installed 9-10 years ago. Looking for advice/assistance/solution.
