My insurance company has requested a quotation for a leak in my home which I summise is in the flashing between the tiles and the chimney in the second story.the water is coming in through to an inside wardrobe ceiling beside the flue. This first occured in the February storms and leaks when it rains heavily since, I catch the water in a bucket at the rate of about 2-3 mls per down pour day. At 73, I cannot get onto the roof to acertain the cause or what remedial work is required. I would imagine some form of scaffolding would also be required due to the height for the repair. Is anyone interested in looking at this and quoting for my broker to present to the insurance company? See attached photo of internal leak, the wood is wet when it rains but there is no rot as the wood appears sound. I cannot provide a budget as that will be an insurance call. Thank you Steve
