Bathroom Tub Fixup.

We have a bath in our 1970s house bathroom. I think due to water splashing down and onto the wooden skirting it's starting to degrade, and i don't know what else is going on. Also near the door the fake wood covering we have is starting to puff. I have recently resealed where the wood meets the floor using Selleys sealer but i'd like a professional opinion on the wood and general area itself. Also i'd like to ensure the seals around the bathtub edges are also water safe and done properly.
