My basement was dug out after the house was built in 1976, for most of the year it is fine, but when we have heavy rain in winter, it seems the water table comes up and saturates the concrete. I put in a basic sump and put a pump in to try and keep the water level to a minimum, but i am fighting a losing battle. after some advise on what i should do.
