Garage waterproofing

Hi there, I without doing enough homework applied the wrong kind of waterproof membrane (sika black seal) to the inside of a buried concrete wall in my basement garage (approx 6.2m long, standard height) There has only been one heavy downpour since it was done but it is apparent water is still coming in, unsure where it is coming from. I am wondering if the best solution is to grind off the membrane and a correct waterproofing be applied. Is this something you could do? Thanks, Ryan
