water proof garage and concreate understairwell

hi guys When it rains heavy rain seeps into the garage and under stairwell as per photos, four years ago we had strip drain installed on our back lawn, but it was installed 2 metres from the path, it appears from my non technical brain that when it rains heavy water that falls between strip drain and path is now finding away underground and into our garage and stairwell i want to explore if water proofing garage and under stairwell is best option
