Waterproofing for tile shower

We are planning on replacing our acrylic shower with a tiled shower. The pan will be slightly above floor level, so not an entry level shower. For council consent we need the waterproofing done by a professional. We will be doing the tiling ourselves. We plan on removing the current shower and laying fibre backing board on the floor once we have booked the date for waterproofing.
