Waterproofing a Caravan

We have recently purchased a 1975 Oxford caravan and have been trying to make it watertight. Needing some help with taking down the awning rails, cleaning off old silicone and resealing to make it waterproof. Screwing the railing back on. Also needing help replacing a section of water damaged ceiling and a rotted floor board. The caravan is not under cover so the sealing aspect preferably needs to be completed in a day. Would love to get this done as soon as possible - weather permitting - before we get too far into winter and the water damage gets worse. We are located in Mt Wellington, Auckland.
