Drainlaying and garden

I’ve attached five photos for reference. The house is situated close to the cliff, and I’ve observed that during heavy rain, the ground absorbs the water and creates moisture around the house. I’m seeking suggestions for drainage solutions for the area at the back of the house. Please refer to photos 1, 4, and 5. What would be the most effective way to prevent water from affecting the cladding at the back of the house? In photos 3 and 4, there is a small garden area where I plan to dig down about 5 inches and install drainage chips or a coil.
