Need someone to assess best option for a flooding storage basement, perhaps set up a sump pump system, re-concrete/seal the basement floor or worst case fill the basement in?? Not quite sure on the best direction forward here, so looking for advice on how to rectify. It has a concrete floor which adjoins the concrete foundation blocks that extend about 1/2 meter or so below ground level. Sub surface water pressure when raining penetrates and floods the basement, the basement age is inline with the house build date of 1960. Floor area is somewhere in the vicinity of 3m x 6m.
