Backyard, site scrape

We have had a contractor come in and do a 'site scrape' however they have ended up digging a small area far too deep and piling up the soil on the remaining area - what we needed was a level site - 1 half slightly lower than the other. What we are trying to do is create one area with pebbles and one for a vege patch. We only require a level. It is not a large job! But too much for me to do by hand (shovel)
