Job description

Rangehoods
Wellington

We have recently moved into a three-story townhouse (built 2014) which has extractor fans from each floor piped up to the roof. Some of these fans are very loud and the vibrations of them running can be heard/felt throughout the townhouse, which is not very pleasant. We are interested in getting two new, quiet fans installed, with additional sound-proofing/dampening (there is not much at the moment) to further reduce vibrations. It would also be good to reduce the time the fans stay on after they are switched off --- they seem to stay on for ~10-15 minutes after they are turned off, which is excessive for venting a toilet or small ensuite. Bonus points if we can put a "smart switch" in too. See photos. The gap to get the fan through is about 260 by 260mm, but would be 300 by 300mm if you removed the faceplate (unscrews). There is about 260mm of depth to work with in the cavity.
