Check and maintenance for Heat transfer system

We bought our house a couple of years ago and have found the ventilation system doesn't seem to be working properly, it's just blowing cold air. We just want to get it checked over, hopefully repaired quickly (we think it's probably just a filter or something similar), and then book in a service for next time.
