Kitchen Ventilation. Needing to comply with the Healthy Homes Standard.

To comply with the Healthy Home Ventilation Standard, I need to have a suitable extractor fan installed in the kitchen that vents to the outside of the house. There is currently a rangehood installed above the stove, however this is not vented to the outside. Unfortunately, there is a support beam that runs goes across the ceiling above the rangehood which I am sure complicates using this as part of the solution. I am looking for a neat in tidy solution for this problem. The kitchen is not big so extra cupboards could make it look even smaller. One potential solution I have thought of is to have a suitable extractor fan installed in the kitchen ceiling, independent to the existing Rangehood, however I am not the expert and would welcome any other ideas, and approximate costs. The property is single level, in Oakfield Crescent, Pukete. Compliance date is around mid August. Thanks

Five Stars!! Due to the layout of the kitchen, I needed a unique solution for adding additional ventilation, ducted to the outside. The communications was fabulous all round. The team arrived right on time for the initial assessment, quote received the next day. The quote came in as very fair. The job was scheduled and completed within a couple of days, and I was invoiced as per the quote, no surprises which was great. Workmanship is great. I will definitely keep these people on file for futur
