Installing ducting for dryer

We have recently moved into our house and had our dryer mounted onto the wall in the laundry, however it has become noticable that the dryer isnt ducted properly as there is a lot of condensation in the laundry when dryer is running. Ducting appears to be going straight into the ceiling cavity and back into the laundry through a hole in the back of the wall cupboard next to the dryer. There is a vent on the outside of the laundry but ducting is not going up to this vent but assume it must have at some point. Keen for someone to take a look. I work from home Monday - Thursday so anytime during the day on those days would suit. Thanks
