Outside Ducting for Bathroom Extractor Fan

The bathroom extractor fan is currently depositing moist air into the roof cavity, we would like to have this ducted to the outside either through the eaves, or the roof. Hole would need to be created to outside. Bathroom is on the second floor of a two storey house. Roof is long run Iron, Eaves potentially have asbestos so roof might be best option? In the next 6 months there will be scaffolding up to paint the outside of the building which could be used to access the roof/eaves, would align this job with timing of painting so at some point in next 6 months.
