Tile repair and clean

I have a black tiled floor. have removed an cupbpard andtherefore have a small area to lay some tiles (have them) also there are makes on existing tiles from some stains, vanish etc and would like a clean. I understand there is a strong chemical cleaner to make the tiles shine again or at least look clean again
