Tile hearth #2

Build an in-place hearth for a recently installed inset-fireplace. The hearth will be made of tiles with a timber trim. A tile trim will also be possible. This will be built directly on the floor with a cement board base on which to set the tiles. The hearth is to be set between timber uprights, see photo below (the carpet will need to be cut away to fit the hearth). Approximate dimensions are 1320 x 500 x 47mm. I have got most of the materials including the tiles, cement board and timber surround.
