Looking to have 6 tiles laid inside the length of a ranch slider door. Length of the door is 2.4 meters. The carpet in the area that the tiles are to be laid will need to be cut. The carpet will then need to be re-laid up against the tile edge. Tiles are already purchased and 400mm in size each.

The job was to lay tiles by a ranch slider door. Tile work was perfect, however the tiler cut the carpet to large for the area by approx. 1 inch around all the tiles. To deal with this gap he placed cuttings of the carpet that was cut out in strips along this area and glued it down. This fix job did not look good and neither it is long term option as the carpet will fray. I had to engage carpet repair team to fix/patch this work with a bar.costing me a further $300.

"Thanks for your feedback and I am sorry to hear that my service was not satisfactory. As I explained, I shouldn't have cut the carpet, instead I should have asked you before, but the curpet was in a very bad condition and I thought it would look better around the tiled area if I cut the spotted and wore out parts of the carpet. Besides I didn't charge you the initial price for the job. I however, as I said, apologies for this."
