Job description

Floor and Wall Tiling
Porirua

I've got two sets of tiles to be installed , as per the photos attached. I've already bought the tiles, spacers, grout and adhesive (although if you'd prefer to use your own "known" products, that shouldn't be an issue). The two areas to be tiled are (if not stated, the dimensions are in mm): 1. Behind the kettle - a kind of butlers pantry area that is approx. 1070 high x 575 wide. The tiles are Slide Ocean, and are 300 x 100mm. Cutouts for sockets will be required. 2. The main splashback under the window (so will be 1 tile high and 5-6 tiles across, along the 2 runs) plus an area behind the hob (as a 3 x 2 grid). Using Sugar Prisma tiles that are 840 x 280mm. Again, cutouts for sockets will be required. Under windows are: 3150 wide and 1300 wide x 250 high Behind hob is: 1685 wide x 700 high

Good: Fast response to initial advert, and quick to do work. Price was "as agreed", although not value for money. Bad: Tiling and finishing standard is poor, made no attempt to correct during install, and just blamed un-level walls. No attention to detail. Gotta be joking: She chose incorrect colour silicone, which I complained was too light. She wants to charge extra to change it! Final verdict: Would I recommend them? No chance!

Tradesperson reply
"The job has been done perfectly despite the walls' unevenness. The owner has confirmed that he was happy with the final result in his message: "We are both happy with the white tiles and grout, now we have seen them in multiple lights and shadows. Thank you for your attention to this detail." Also the colour of silicone has been agreed with the owner. The review is absolutely incomprehensible. I definitely do not recommend anyone dealing with this client."
