Remove the current red splash back and replace with bevel edged white subway tiles, probably double the height of the current splash back (have seen them in Trade Depot $25 for 75 tiles, but haven't brought them incase you could get them cheaper?) Current splash back is all the way across from left to right and behind the microwave (on the right in the photos)
