Diagnostic/advice/ change filter flow rate forme leisure Spa

I have a Forme leisure Spa. About a month ago I drained it and decided to clean refill it and buy ‘Simple Silver’ for it. This is a 12 month, leave and forget type of product that is supposed to keep the spa clean and crystal clear provided you follow the instructions and the water flow rate is correct. The spa feels unclean and is changed colour and the product isn’t working as it should despite me following the instruction and cleaning the filter every 2 weeks. I’ve gone to the troubleshooting page on the Simple silver website and they state it’s very important that the water flow rate is correct- the right amount of water flowing through to ensure the product works. I don’t know how to change the filter pump flow rate. And I’m ask wondering if my spa is working correctly. -currently the only water movement seen is when the air flow/punp turns on about once a hour for about 10 mins or so. Is this the only water movement there is supposed to be OR is there supposed to be a constant movement/flow of water from another mechanism? As I’ve stated I’m new to spa’s and this one is dated so Im unsure what is normal. All I know is I need some help to diagnose/sort it so that Simple silver I’ve invested in for the year will work and I can enjoy a spa!
